So, I thought I should share this with all of you. I posted this on YouTube this morning after, once again, being disappointed by the massive amount of people trying to argue about what a song actually meant (well several songs).
Note that this particular song was by a Christian band, which is why I specifically pointed out religion.
I see a lot of these songs as having a double meaning. The meaning changes depending on why you decided to turn to the song in the first place. That is the power of music. Unfortunately when artists get labelled by their religion, they become boxed in and lose a lot of their potential audience (it’s a known fact). Honestly, I don’t even believe it is the bands fault that this happens, but it is the people who listen to the music and try to tell others how it should make them feel. Instead of trying to analyse the song, and or use the artists meaning, you should find meaning in it for yourself. That is when it will truly reach you. Only when you find meaning for yourself in art, can you truly be touched.
I hope that many of you will attempt to do this in the future, versus going off of meanings and analyses given to you by other people. Sure it is nice to know why certain songs were written, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t first find a meaning for yourself. A true artist does not intend for us to find the same meaning they did in a piece, but to create something new within ourselves from the art they shared with us.
I had a mini cupcake at 12 pm and now I can’t seem to stop my eyes from going all big and sunshiny like a kid who just had a huge pixy stick (my parents don’t let me have a lot of sugar).
Oh boy…I need to sleep. I gotta get up early tomorrow for class. All these cupcakes and gold fish. At least I drank water.
I don’t even know why I’m blogging about this anyways. I mean seriously? Does anyone actually care about what I eat? I’m not exactly a food blogger…
I had samosa’s for breakfast this morning…I love samosa’s.

HA…It’s working properly now. See! I can see! 😀 Okay bye folks…I’ll be back when the computer doesn’t confuzzle my cupcaked sleepy brain. It had blue icing by the way…and the sprinkles taste really gooooooood.
I KNEW CRINGE WAS SPELT WITH AN E!!!!!!!!!!!
…time for Ryder to go to bed now…yesh it is time…. I’m gonna probably look at this later and be like, “Bro…what is wrong with you?” but OH WELL! It’s something to laugh at.
I find that what really helps me when designing characters is to actually draw them out. Especially if they’re a main character. I know that this doesn’t work for everyone, but I find this extremely helpful.
To do this, you don’t even need to be a talented artistic. It’s your vision of what the characters look like.
I find this much more useful than forcing my characters to look like a person in a picture that I found off of Google…that sort of thing takes away from my imagination. I’ve been sketching my characters from the beginning. I used to make music videos about them as well (which sadly are no longer available because my dad took apart the old computer and I have no idea of how to turn it back on. Plus I think the old monitor is at my grandparents now?).
Anyway, just thought I’d share this quick tip to any potential writers out there who might want to see their characters “face-to-face.”
I hope that you’re all enjoying your weekends so far.

My plan for reading week is to not only read the required texts I was assigned for homework, but to also do work on my novel. It’s been a long time but the research I’ve done has really helped me to think about things that I might like to include and or use to help frame the world of my story.
I just wanted to thank my American audience for being so wonderful as to keep up with my posts and everything. You guys are awesome. I’m going to guess more American’s use this website than Canadian’s? I’m not totally sure if that’s true but Canadian’s you’re in second place. Then it is the Syrian Arab Republic and after that it’s the U.K.
If you’re from Canada or anywhere else link me your blog because I’d really like to check it out. I’m starting to feel like a little lonely Canadian on here. I’ve only come across a few bloggers from Canada.
I’m not going to pretend to be something I’m not just do that you can like me. I’m not going to agree with your opinions to please you. I’m not going to allow you to push me around because you think you’re in control of not only your life but the lives of those around you. I’m not going to insult you because you do things that I find a bit annoying. I’m not going to force you to go along with my ideas or to agree with me on everything. I’m not going to try to control you because I know that you’re your own person and everyone needs to do their own thing.
I would never treat you in a way that would make you feel lesser. I’m done trying to make up with you whenever you start fights with me. I’m sorry but I’m not like your other “friends” who hide in the background and let you tape their mouths shut and strip them of their right to be an individual. I will no longer put up with people like you.
You’re rude, inconsiderate and conceded. The world doesn’t revolve around you. You are a bully, and I am not going to be victimized.
Have a great life.
Stand up. Speak out. Stand out.
I seriously don’t put up with bullying…especially in friend groups. It’s sad but sometimes the person bullying you is someone who is supposed to be there for you. For example, an older sibling or a friend.
Do not be afraid to stand up for yourself. You don’t have turn into a bully yourself in order to do this.
Personally most people who don’t know me well would assume I’m a quiet kid who keeps my mouth shut and doesn’t speak their mind. That’s not true at all. When you don’t run your mouth about stupid things, people are more willing to listen when you have something to say because it’s worth listening to.
I hope everyone is having a good day.
