Morning Exercise

Good morning, for some reason I’m up a lot earlier than expected…but I usually don’t sleep for very long. I should try harder to resist afternoon naps. They completely through off my schedule, and make me feel as though I’ve wasted my day…much like sleeping in.

I’m going to do a bit of light exercise this morning, since I’ve been slacking in that department lately. Then I’ll do some work on my novel and of course homework that I’ve put off far too long. I at least need to get some ideas down on paper. My schedule’s been pretty busy this weekend. I’ve had events since Friday evening, and after today it will be the end of that. I’m expecting it to go well today. Friday was…stressful.

I’m still trying to convince my younger sister to create a blog on wordpress.com for her art. She’s two won awards in the graphic narrative section of a yearly literary competition that is held for students in our hometown. She is her own worst critic however, so I believe this is what’s taking her so long.

I understand though. When it comes to my writing I am often reluctant to share it with my family and friends because I’m worried they’re judge me. Especially when it comes to my lyrics and poetry. A lot of the time my poems and songs are centered around characters I’ve created for stories I’m working on, so the themes behind them have a huge contrast. My creative writing professor last year was surprised when I shared a happy story that used warm imagery because all of my other work that I’d presented in class had a tendency to be very cold and depressing.

Speaking of cold, I think I’ll do my exercise in doors today. Burr…I’m shivering as it is. I like winter time but I don’t wanna be in the cold long if I don’t have too. I really love getting in a good work out early in the morning. Helps to lose all the stress from the day before. I always feel really pumped afterwards.

Until next time,

Are We There Yet?

I’ve had lots of homework lately, and its been cutting into my me time. Where I read and write whatever I please. So tonight I guess I’m going to bed without doing any work on my stories and art…bummer. Oh well, at least I finished my homework. I’m a little bit behind on two readings but I should be able to catch up sometime tomorrow or Thursday. I’m at the point where I can’t wait till the final exams. I’m less stressed than I was before the reading break, but I’m kind  starting to feel like that impatient kid in the back seat of the car going, “Are we there yet?”

Despite the amount of work I need to get done I will not let myself slack off on my writing. I want to reach my monthly goal. I have a little less than three weeks. My work out goal is also included in this. Trying to lose at least 10lbs, but that goal stretched into my exam period. Basically I want to lose 10lbs between now and December 17th (coincidentally my Dad’s birthday…along with several other relatives. December’s expensive).

So finish novel, lose weight. That’s my goal, and I’m not going to give up. I will succeed and reach my goal. I’m determined.

Lots of Updates!

Tonight I’ll be seeing an author read a bit of his book. I’ve never been to one of these events before so I’m pretty excited. I’ll try to blog about it when I get home tonight but it really depends on how I’m feeling when I get home. I’ve been running around all day so I might just want to go to bed. Actually I currently want to go to bed, but because I need go out for the…what third time today? I guess I should just chill.

In other news, my classes have been excellent so far. Although I’ve only had about one of each class. It’s still been a lot of fun. I’m meeting new people, seeing familiar faces here and there. I’m going to make good memories this year. That’s my goal.

Writing wise I have a lot to do for school. I’m in a creative writing course so I’ll probably share some of the things I’ve written on here (once they’ve been marked and everything…since I use a pen name online). I realized when I moved into my apartment that I had left a chuck of my writing material at home and had only remembered to bring the two binders I had…. which kind of sucks but I’ll get them next time I’m home…or just scan them onto my computer somehow. Oh wait…I took the scanner. I can’t scan them. Well then…this will take some serious planning.

Overall my first week and a bit back at school has been excellent and I’m working to get out there and make memories. Also my apartment is really nice. I realized I’ve been here for almost three weeks…but it only feels like I’ve been here a week. I thought today was the 13th of September, but it turns out that it’s actually the 15th…according to my phone and laptop. This is why I need to put up my calendar. So I can keep track of things. At least I know what day of the week it is.

Hope everyone else is enjoy summers (probably short) comeback. I sure arm. The sun is nice. The sun is out friend. Don’t complain about the nice weather. Thank God it’s not snowing yet and when it snows, don’t complain because at least it’s not over 60 something degree’s (that’s 140 in farenheit…I Googled that for my American followers. I got you. 😛 ). Just embrace the weather…because whether or not you like it (haha see what I did there?), the weather is going to do what it wants. The weather is its own master. Unless you know…this is Sims and you used your Lifetime rewards to buy the weather changing machine.

Okay I’m going to stop talking now and eat cookies…and possibly spoil my dinner.

Enjoy your week!

Ugh…I Have a Cold.

I’d like to apologise for not blogging as often in these last couple of weeks. I’m still getting over a cold and am trying to adjust to being back at school again. Yah, I’m so done with this cold. I’d like to go an entire day without coughing or sneezing…and I’d love to be able to actually breathe. Hopefully it’ll be gone tomorrow. I’m feeling a lot better today.

As for my writing, I’ve done a couple of songs and poems but I haven’t done work on my novel since my sketches. Researching for this is extremely important to me. I might force myself to put something on paper after my lecture today. I’d really like to get back to work…though I’ve got school work to do and that’s unfortunately more important than my own personal projects *sigh*.

Anyway, I will try and post more often once I’m feeling better…and hopefully I’ll have a novel update for you or a tip to share.

Well…here’s a life tip for you, if your hat still smells like campfire, find some loose change and toss it in the washing machine. If you don’t wear it, you’ll get a nasty cold and won’t want to do anything with your life until it goes away. Also, always be sure to have a box of tissues handy. Those things are actually really important…we really take tissues and toilet paper for granted. It’s only when you need them and they aren’t around that you realize how much you need them in your life.

If You Are the Summer….

If you are the summer, then I am winter.

I blow in cold and harsh, knocking you off your feet.

You brighten my skies and show me all there is to see.

I make you numb and breathe slithers down your spine.

You keep me warm and you tell me that you’re mine.

Back to School Again

Well it looks like my breaks over. It’s a little sad because I was having a great time spending time with my family but I’m pumped about starting a new semester. I’m hoping that I’ll meet more cool people this semester and continue to do well in each of my courses.

I’m really going to miss lying in my bed every morning, staring through the slits in my blinds to see the sky change from orange to blue. I do this all the time, and I find it relaxing. I can still do it here at school but my bed at home is more comfortable. I do get a great view from my window at school though. This place looks like Narnia right now compared to where I live. We’ve got warning signs up about falling ice. I wish I had skates to wear that fit me but because my folks and I broke our tradition of going skating every winter while we were on break I outgrew mine years ago and ended up not getting a new pair. I didn’t go tobogganing this year either…but my toboggan’s a little small and there wasn’t any snow.

Well I’m almost settled in again. Once I get my bedding back on I’ll be all set. I mean I still have to put my clothes away but I’ll do that after my beds made.

Hope that everyone had a good break and happy blogging!

The colours on …

The colours on my mug didn’t really turn out. Next time I’m going to use black.

This is where you insert the really sad violin music, which shall accompanied by a gentle, cool breeze blowing snow across the empty street, where young Ryder stands alone whispering, “Why?”
